How to diagnose and treat esabong bowel problems

There are many types of esabong intestinal and digestive tract infections such as diarrhea, salmonellosis, avian malaria, pasteurellosis, helminth infections and the deadliest and most common coccidiosis. These diseases can be diagnosed by examining their droppings (chicken droppings/feces), but their appearance especially the colour.

In this article, we’ll explore how to diagnose these diseases and recommend some medications to treat your bird.

Chickens are likely to have bloody diarrhea or coccidiosis when the feces are wet with some blood. If the feces are green, then it has avian malaria. Avian malaria is carried by mosquitoes infected with Plasmodium.

One of the best medicines for avian malaria and coccidiosis is Pyristat Powder. Although Pyristat Powder was developed for wildfowl, it is also effective on any type of chicken.

Pyristat powder is a combination of pyrimethamine hydrochloride, sodium sulfamethoxazole and vitamin K3 and is highly effective against avian malaria and coccidiosis.

Dosage and Administration

prevention:
Drink 5 g/20 liters (1 tsp/5 gallons) of drinking water on 2 consecutive days

treat:
15 – 22.5 g/20 L (3 – 4.5 tsp/5 gallons) drinking water for 3 – 4 days

Chickens may have pasteurellosis, salmonellosis or coccidiosis when the manure is white or yellowish with a strong odor. Pasteurellosis, or poultry cholera, is deadly diarrhea that is highly contagious. Coccidiosis is a bacterium caused by Escherichia coli and always infects chickens. Salmonellosis, on the other hand, is caused by Salmonella, a bacteria that can infect eggs and even crops like tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables. It causes deadly bloody diarrhea in chickens.

Give your chickens Trisullak tablets whether the manure is white, green or yellow. Trisullak is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial for the treatment and control of systemic and respiratory infections such as chronic respiratory disease (CRD), colibacillosis, fowl cholera, Salmonella pullorum and infectious rhinitis. It was developed for the prevention and treatment of fowl cholera, fowl typhoid, salmonellosis, mastitis, metritis, agalactia, pneumonia and dysentery. It is also effective against viral illnesses and secondary infections after stress.

Dosage and Administration 2:

1/2 tablet/head/day for 5 – 7 days Worms can also be lethal if not managed properly. Common worms include tapeworms, pinworms, caterpillars, and roundworms. The most popular dewormers include Vermex, Tape Terminator, and Basonero Plus. Follow the dosing instructions on these medication labels, but generally, if the medication is water-soluble, make sure your bird is thirsty when taking the medication.

Vermex can be administered orally by half capsule every two months to adult chickens (4 to 5 months old). For birds older than 6 months, give them a whole Vermex capsule.

For 2 to 3 month old chicks, mix 1 teaspoon of tape terminator into 1 gallon of water. For 4 to 5 months old, 2 teaspoons to 1 gallon of water for 2 days. Deworming is done every two months to prevent the worms from reappearing.
